Our mission for this scholarship is to memorialize our son, Jimmy Mullins, who was tragically taken from us on April 2, 2024,  just shy of his 30th birthday. Jimmy was always a selfless man who was willing to help anyone who is in need. As part of our family’s journey through this challenging and difficult time, we believe that Jimmy would have appreciated knowing that in his name, others would be able to move forward into a career that he was not only passionate about, but he thrived in. Jimmy loved anything with an engine, even as a small child, he loved taking things apart and putting them back together. Anyone who  knew our son Jimmy, knew that from the moment he stepped onto a boat he was at his happiest. Whether he was cruising around on the ocean, fishing or working on a boat, Jimmy had found his calling.

  Our first tournament was held, August 2024.

To everyone who participated in and or attended the Jimmy Mullins Memorial Scholarship Flounder Tournament, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for making our 1st flounder tournament fundraiser a success. We would also like to thank those who generously donated from near and far through the JMMS website. We are a non-profit organization and every donation counts. Thank you!

  Due to the generous response from the community, we were able to give our first scholarship to a senior student graduating from the Cape May County Technical High School, in Cape May Court House. We are also hoping to make a donation to the Marine Maintenance Program, which will begin this September. 

​

  We hope to continue to give scholarships to senior students yearly. With the generous help from the community, website donations and our annual JMMS flounder tournament, this will be possible. 

​

  100% of money raised/donated will fund our nonprofit organization that is aimed to help students at the Cape May County Technical School Marine Maintenance Program, in Jimmy’s name.

  Our next flounder tournament will be held Saturday, August 23rd with a rain date of Saturday, August 30th. We hope to see you there.
