FLOUNDER TOURNAMENT
for the
Jimmy Mullins Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Jimmy Mullins Memorial Scholarship Fund
Mission Statement
Our mission for this scholarship is to memorialize our son, Jimmy Mullins. Jimmy was tragically taken from us due to a work related injury, on April 2, 2024, just shy of his 30th birthday. Jimmy was always a selfless man who was willing to help anyone in need. As part of our family’s journey through this challenging and most difficult time, we believe that Jimmy would have appreciated knowing that in his name, others would be able to move forward into a career that he was not only passionate about, but he thrived in.
Jimmy loved anything with an engine. Even as a young kid he loved taking apart engines and putting them back together. Jimmy also enjoyed fishing and boating. Anyone who knew our son, knew that from the moment he stepped onto a boat he was at his happiest and felt the freedom of breathing in the fresh salt air and feeling the waves underneath his feet.
To everyone who participated in and or attended our previous Jimmy Mullins Memorial Scholarship Flounder Tournaments, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for making our flounder tournament fundraisers a success. We would also like to thank those who from near and far generously donated through our website. We are a nonprofit organization and every donation is greatly appreciated. Due to the generous response from our community, we have been able to give scholarships and have donated cabinets, machinery assorted tools and more to the Marine Maintenance Program’s classroom.
We hope to continue to give scholarships to graduating students yearly. With the generous help from the community, website donations and our annual JMMSF flounder tournament, this will be possible.
All money raised/donated will fund our nonprofit organization that is aimed to help students at the Cape May County Technical High School Marine Maintenance Program, in Jimmy’s name.
Our next flounder tournament will be held Saturday, August 1st, 2026 with a rain date of Sunday, August 2nd. We hope to see you there.
